Logo Design
My personal logo started as a school project where I was assigned to create a set of logos for a hypothetical business. Shown below is the process I went through to arrive at my current iteration.
Research
The first step was to research personal design and portfolio logos. Some common themes that emerged were simplicity, adherence to personal/company style, and versatility..
Sketches
Next, I sketched out potential designs by hand, with different concepts and styles. The logo using shapes to create initials out of negative space was my favorite, so I moved forward with that idea.
Using Illustrator
Once I had a general concept, I moved to Adobe Illustrator to create a few different variations of the logo, per the requirements. The result was a satisfactory design but not one that I felt completely happy with.
Current Iteration
My current iteration uses the negative space concept and applies it to my initials rather than the initials of a potential business. The coloring and overall shape fit my personal style and I am currently very content with it as a symbol of my brand (doesn't mean it couldn't be improved in the future!)
